Preserving Family History

What is a Legacy Film?

Every Life is Worth Remembering

A Legacy Film is a special family gift that captures the essence of a loved one's life through a long-form interview. Our goal is to preserve the story of a lifetime for future generations, presented in high-quality video. Legacy Films can range from 90 minutes to 2.5 hours and provide an intimate glimpse into your family's history. They serve as a connection to your ancestry, and give you a chance to get to know your family better by listening to their stories, sharing in their laughter, and seeing their smiles.

Give the gift of legacy.

What does any parent or grandparent want?

To know that they make an impact on their family.

A Legacy Film allows families to connect through the ages in an intimate way. Getting younger generations to connect with their elders can be challenging, let alone getting them to want to hear stories and maintain traditions.

Video is the most engaging medium through which intergenerational relationships can be strengthened and maintained - even after loved ones pass. A Legacy Film will bring together all the members of the family and allow them to deepen connections and see themselves as part of something bigger. A Legacy Film becomes a gift for the whole family.

Somehow, whether by accident or intention, you’ve become the keeper of family photographs, mementos, and heirloom pieces. You know it's important to find a way to keep traditions going and preserve memories, but you don't even know where to begin.

Unlike just a photo album, journal, or an online ancestry account, a Legacy Film is both a simple and meaningful way to preserve a family’s oral history with audio and visual; capturing both the personality and the history while connecting the past with the present.

Preserving your family’s history doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Your family doesn’t want your stuff, but they do want your stories.

How will your family remember you after you’re gone? Do you want them to look at the stuff you left, or would you rather them see your smile, hear your voice, and remember the life you lived?

You can continue your impact on future generations by sharing your life stories in a Legacy Film. You’ll be giving your family a gift to be cherished long after you’re gone.

"There’s an ancient African proverb, 'When an elder dies, a library burns to the ground.'

I may not be able to save the whole library, but I can at least preserve a few books."
